According to City Superintendent of Police Pramod Kumar, the action was taken after videos of the incident went viral on social media. The complaint was filed by Pranchal Nauni, a student representative of the \u2018Satyam Shivam\u2019 organisation at DAV College. In the complaint, it was stated that during the event held on Saturday, which was organised by the students\u2019 union, the singer\u2019s remarks offended students as well as members of the public present there. The police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and started an investigation. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had attended the event but left before the alleged incident happened.
