Vice President Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan today launched\u00a0\u2018Gnani Artha\u2019, a sovereign AI stack comprising Evon 3.3 and Plexus<\/strong>, developed by\u00a0GNANI AI<\/strong>, at Uprashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi.\u00a0Evon 3.3<\/strong>\u00a0is a large language model, while\u00a0Plexus<\/strong>\u00a0is a platform that connects AI intelligence with real-world work and institutions.<\/p>\n

Welcoming the launch of Gnani Artha, Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan said the combination of\u00a0Evon 3.3 and Plexus<\/strong>\u00a0reflects the growing strength of India\u2019s technology ecosystem and demonstrates that Indian engineers can not only use frontier technologies but also build them.<\/p>\n

Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan said technology has transformed dramatically, from the era of typewriters and limited use of personal computers to today\u2019s age of Artificial Intelligence and Large Language Models. Recalling concerns over computers replacing jobs, he noted that the IT sector instead created numerous employment opportunities in India and abroad. He expressed confidence that\u00a0AI too will open new avenues of employment and growth, taking India\u2019s economic progress to the next stage.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Vice President highlighted India\u2019s rapid progress in Artificial Intelligence, noting that initiatives such as the\u00a0IndiaAI Mission and Centres of Excellence for AI<\/strong>\u00a0are driving the country\u2019s transformation. He said much of the momentum behind India\u2019s technological transformation has come from the\u00a0visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi<\/strong>, whose political will and commitment to an\u00a0\u2018India First\u2019 approach<\/strong>\u00a0are strengthening India\u2019s capabilities in emerging technologies.<\/p>\n

Highlighting the use of AI in Parliament, he said the\u00a0Digital Sansad<\/strong>\u00a0portal enables parliamentary debates and papers to be accessed in multiple Indian languages. He added that simultaneous AI-based interpretation in eight languages was introduced in the recently concluded Session and would soon be extended to all Scheduled Languages.<\/p>\n

Emphasising the need for technological self-reliance, he said India should not remain merely a consumer of technology.\u00a0\u201cWe should not be consumers always; we need to create, so that others can consume,\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0he said, underlining the importance of building indigenous technological capabilities.<\/p>\n

The Vice President also stressed the importance of developing\u00a0sovereign AI capabilities<\/strong>\u00a0to strengthen India\u2019s technological and strategic autonomy. Referring to semiconductor manufacturing, he said India could have begun manufacturing chips much earlier and possibly emerged as a global leader by now, noting that the sector has gained renewed momentum under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.<\/p>\n

The Vice President said technological capability will be an important pillar of India\u2019s journey towards\u00a0Viksit Bharat @ 2047<\/strong>, and described Gnani Artha as part of the larger national journey towards technological self-reliance, innovation and global leadership.<\/p>\n

He congratulated\u00a0GNANI AI CEO Shri Ganesh Gopalan and Co-Founder and CTO Shri Ananth Nagaraj<\/strong>\u00a0on the launch and expressed the hope that the initiative would contribute to building a stronger, self-reliant and technologically empowered India.<\/p>\n
